At least with Apple’s AirPods Pro, you can buy aftermarket memory foam ear pads that might actually work for you,@brennyn. The ones I got have really helped stop my AirPod pros from slowly slipping out.
I don’t know if they are the best, but I think Jabra is good quality for the price. Whatever buds you get, I would always recommend outfitting them with Comply foam tips.
The best earbuds for me are 1) the ones that don’t fall out of my tiny ears and get lost after 2 days; 2) the ones I can replace for $24 when they fall out of my ears and get lost; and 3) the ones that don’t hurt my ears. To meet all those criteria, I go to Amazon and search for “Q38 wireless earbuds.” There’s no real brand. Just Q38.
“Best” can mean a lot of different things. Best price/performance ratio, best overall performance or performance in some category, best price, best looking or feeling, best Feng shui.
As a sound engineer, I tend to care more about the audio performance than any other factors, and for me, the best earbuds are most often in-ear monitors. The earbuds you have with you, however, are definitely the most likely to be used, and that is also worth considering as a best factor.

This is very similar to the advice I always give people regarding which camera to buy (which DSLR, etc). Which for 98% of us is now the phone in our pocket.
@phendrick you got that right, but then I love to get a good deal. Then agin MEH (&it’s other companies) deal mostly in Close-Out stuff. It is lightly you could not find a replacement!
@haydesigner@tweezak
Well there is the term IEM In-Ear-Monitors, apparently used by stage and studio musicians; some are pretty high-end, or at least expensive. Still seem like Earbuds to me.
Although I have several Bose earbuds and Apple Airpod Pros, among others, I recently purchase a pair of earbuds from Five Below/Beyond that I really like a lot. The sound is surprisingly not bad, especially since it can be adjusted with an on-screen equalizer, which can give it a decent bass. The color touchscreen on the front offers several interesting settings. It even has ANC. I paid $10, but I see they are now $12 online. Available in white or black.
I usually use whatever is inexpensive when I need to buy ew ones.
I have had several Skull Candy over the years.
I have some JBL that I use for teams meetings sometimes. They are fine.
@dvermilion I have the nothing ear (a), owned for about a year now. I’m no audiophile so I can’t say for the specifics of the sound, but in regards to a quality, reliable set of earbuds they’re easily the best I’ve used.
Klipsch, it’s what an audio engineer (like a real one, not the dude who runs the soundboard at local shows) recommended and everything I’ve compared is on par with a pricier Bose product. Bose is great but you’re paying partially for the name and the marketing (which is still better than Beats where you’re ONLY paying for the brand name and the marketing).
My experience extends only to those from a BOC or IRK – so I guess Anker? I got a pair of Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro that were new in box and they sounded pretty good, especially for the sub-catshirt price.
I still love my ifrogz sound hub xd2 pair that I got here 4 years ago. These have been my go-to yard/housework earbuds and I have found that they lasted me about 3 years before the wires broke down but they were a 2-fer so I still have a pair. I’ve used them hundreds of times out in the yard at home, often underneath a pair of hearing protectors while on the mower. I love the fact they clip to my shirt collar so in the (rare) event one does fall out it’s easy to retrieve. Also handy when my wife comes up to talk to me and I can just pop one out and let it dangle.
Gotta go with the Boss
I like my Sony earbuds. They are old so I don’t know if the quality is still good.
@yakkoTDI It’s Linkbuds for me, for the open ear but sony has always had great sound/price ratio.
I’ve never found any that come close to fitting into my ears.
At least with Apple’s AirPods Pro, you can buy aftermarket memory foam ear pads that might actually work for you,@brennyn. The ones I got have really helped stop my AirPod pros from slowly slipping out.
@brennyn Same - damn my non-standard mutant ears!

How should i know?
You think i shop on Meh because i can afford “the best”?
@phendrick you got that right, but then I love to get a good deal. Then agin MEH (&it’s other companies) deal mostly in Close-Out stuff. It is lightly you could not find a replacement!
@phendrick The writeup on the World’s Crappiest Projector summed things up in one line:
@narfcake Love your reply. Gave it three “stars” (but only one of mine is showing up
).
I don’t wear them.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I’m no expert but I’ve heard Sennheisers are good
@tweezak They make outstanding headphones that we use in the broadcasting industry

Headphones and earbuds are two radically different things in the audio world.

Whatever is around the. $20 mark
You can always get a pair of custom fitted pair of ear buds. That sync with you phone.
I don’t know. I only wear on-ear and over-ear headphones.
Mpow. Cheap and the audio is good enough without breaking the bank.
I usually use whatever is inexpensive when I need to buy ew ones.
I have had several Skull Candy over the years.

@kittykat9180 I have skullcandy that i really like, i’m pretty sure i got them here years ago
Raycon
Probably ones I don’t own bc I’m too cheap. I just use the ones meh sends me in irks.
The $20 ones I won’t cry when I lose one
I don’t trust myself to buy Sennheiser or Bose, but I found nothing ear. It’s honestly the best earbuds I’ve ever owned. https://us.nothing.tech/
@HelloHiHello Which type? If you’ve owned multiple, please expound on your experience as my interest is piqued. (; •_•)

Jabra. Last year when I thought I had lost my Jabra earbuds I “treated myself” Bose ones and I hate them so much.
Someone who wants my Shokz will have to try them from my cold, dead ears.
There they are awesome for spoken word
They are good enough for music for my purposes
If I want to listen to music in a really serious way I get out something better than real cans.
They don’t cover your ears or go in your ears at all so no problems with fit or hurting after a while.
They don’t fall out or fall off
DIPLOMAT! RAT-A-TAT! FAT CAT! AWESOME!
